Message
from Ron Winecoff, Chair
Angel Medical Center has a
proud history that is intertwined with the residents of Western
North Carolina. From the inception of the clinic that was
established by Dr. Furman Angel in 1923, through the construction
of our current facility funded in large part by community
contributions through Operation Heartbeat, our citizens have
been committed to maintaining a state-of-the-art facility.
As a nonprofit hospital that has served the residents of Macon
County and surrounding communities, we are able to offer compassionate
patient care delivered by highly skilled individuals who,
in many cases, are your neighbors. We have an opportunity
to ensure that our community will continue to have access
to dedicated professionals providing compassionate and superior
healthcare to all.
The Foundation for Angel Medical Center is committed to building
a strong foundation so that our community hospital is here
when you need us. It is our responsibility to join this effort
to provide medical equipment to bring breakthrough treatments
to the bedside, to retain and strengthen our professional
staff by providing additional training, to offer health education
to the community, and assist with resources for patients who
cannot afford health care and the related expenses. We hope
you will join us in our goal to make the difference in your
hospital.
