For Tim Hubbs his appointment as Chief Executive Officer
of CEO of Angel Medical Center was more like coming home.
Prior to Tim’s taking the helm of Angel Medical Center,
he served as Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer
with East Tennessee Children’s Hospital from 1984-1992.
He was able to take his vast knowledge of hospital administration
and apply it while he served on the Board of Trustees for
Angel Medical Center from 1996 through 2004. Tim is well-versed
on the challenges and opportunities facing health care providers
today and brings his leadership skills to our community
hospital. He was an integral part of the management team
of Drake Enterprises most recently serving as President
and Chief Executive Officer and is highly respected in the
community for his energy, dedication, and enthusiasm.
A graduate of Franklin High School, Tim did not travel
too far from home to earn his college degree. He earned
his bachelor of science in business administration from
Western Carolina University and received his MBA from Western
in 1981. Tim is highly involved in the wellbeing of the
community and serves on board of directors for Nantahala
Bank, as well as the board of directors for Drake Enterprises,
Inc. He and his wife Michele are active members of the First
United Methodist Church where Tim has chaired the staff
parish and finance committees.
“Angel Medical Center is important to our community
and it is important to me. The Foundation’s help is
critical to ensuring that the people in Macon County have
the best that healthcare has to offer. I am so thankful
for all those who devote their time and financial resources
to making Angel Medical Center a success.”
